The National Lottery (TNL) Community Fund
The National Lottery Community Fund has been our biggest supporter this year with a £20,000 Awards For All grant.
This has enabled us to realise a dream of having our own transport. Giving us the freedom and flexibility to engage in the community.
Not just that, we are now able to provide outside of group services to enable the service users greater freedom to access more of their own commitments like GP and hospital appointments, social events with family and much much more.
A lifeline needed for people isolated by the effects of dementia.
Enterprising Ashfield
Enterprising Ashfield is a comprehensive programme delivered by NTU in partnership with Ashfield District Council to support businesses, entrepreneurs, and local people in Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield.
The Enhance Growth programme has helped us to grow on our terms, developing our web material, reassessing our provision and innovating our delivery model and practices.
The focus is on Business Strategy, Leadership and Sustainability and this helped us support staff.
The programme helped us with:
Understanding and (re)evaluating our business model
Developing the ‘value proposition’ and aligning that to our marketing
Getting to grips with the considerations to grow
Leadership and culture
Improving communications
Transitioning into a caring organisation that has sustainability embedded into operations
